Circle S Cattle Company is operated by Mark and Kami Schoenfeld, with our sons, Colton and Braxton. We live in west central Minnesota near Dawson. We started in the cattle business in the mid 2000's with purebred Shorthorn and a group of SimAngus commercial cows as a cooperator herd. We cleaned up with a Simmental bull, after success with Simmental cows; we decided to expand into the Simmental business. We currently maintain a herd of Simmental registered cows. The cow herd is located at Kami's parents place, Harvey and Gladys Hastad, on the 4th generation cattle operation. We always welcome visitors.

 

Our cattle program focuses on functional cattle that can be successful in the pasture as while as in the show ring. We emphasize disposition, structure, balanced EPD’s that are above breed average, and eye appeal. Cattle are sold privately or through local and regional consignment sales.

Along with cattle, we have a flock of Dorset market-type ewes to make white face and speckle face club lambs. The project started as an anniversary present from Mark to Kami. After a few years of learning, a whole new set of ewes were purchased. The base genetics include GT sheep, Enfield, Slack and Amyx. The new genetics have brought us new successes.
